COOKIES POLICY
What are Cookies?
A cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, web cookie, browser cookie, connection token, or simply token, is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored in a text file created on the visitor’s computer while they are browsing.
What are cookies used for?
Each time the visitor loads the web-site, the browser sends the cookie back to the server to notify the website of the visitor’s previous activity. Cookies are designed to be a reliable mechanism for websites to remember status information (such as items in a shopping basket) or to record the visitor’s browsing activity (including clicks on certain buttons, logging in, or recording which pages have been visited).
What kind of cookies do we use?
There are two groups of cookies that can be used:
Permanent cookies – these are cookies that are stored in the browser on your access devices (PC, mobile and tablet) and are used whenever you visit one of our websites again. They are generally used to direct browsing to the user’s interests, allowing us to provide a more personalised service.
Session cookies – these are temporary cookies that remain in the visitor’s browser until they leave the website. The information obtained by these cookies is used to analyse web traffic patterns, allowing us to identify problems and provide a better browsing experience.
Types of cookies:
Strictly necessary cookies – These allow you to browse the website and use its features, as well as access secure areas of the website. Without these cookies, services such as logging in cannot be provided.
Analytical cookies – These are used anonymously to create and analyse statistics in order to improve the functioning of the website.
Functionality cookies – These store the user’s preferences regarding the use of the site, so that it is not necessary to reconfigure the site each time you visit it.
Third-party cookies – These have various functions generally associated with services provided by analysis tools (Google Analytics) or social interaction (Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, among others).
How can you manage cookies?
All browsers allow the user to accept, refuse, or delete cookies, namely by selecting the appropriate settings in their browser. You can configure cookies in the ‘options’ or ‘preferences’ menu of your browser. Please note, however, that by disabling cookies, you may prevent some services on the website from working properly, affecting your browsing partially or totally.
